Events, lectures and open days

The college runs open days, free public lectures, professional CPD workshops and free community consultation clinics. Most of what we put on is open to the public, and most of it costs nothing to attend.

What the cost badges mean

Free
Free means free. There is no charge to attend, no charge on the door, and no expectation that you will buy anything. Some free events still ask you to register, because a room has a capacity or a clinic list is limited — that is a booking requirement, not a fee. Free community consultations are a service, not a treatment course: a consultation includes assessment and general advice.
Fee applies
Fee-based events are priced on enquiry. These are mostly professional CPD days and workshops with materials or small-group teaching. The college does not publish fee tables on the website; we quote on enquiry so that we can set out exactly what the fee covers — tuition, materials, assessment and any CPD certificate — and confirm whether instalments or member rates apply. Asking for a quote commits you to nothing.

How to book

Booking is handled by a person, not a checkout

There is no online booking system yet. Every place is confirmed by a member of the college office, in writing.
  1. Step 1

Find the event and read the details

Each event page gives the date, time, venue, location type, audience and any booking deadline. If a place is limited, the page says so.
  2. Step 2

Send an enquiry through the contact form

The booking form on each event page prepares an email to the college office with the event already named in the subject line. You do not need an account and you do not pay anything online.
  3. Step 3

    Wait for written confirmation

A place exists only once we have confirmed it in writing. We aim to reply within [XX] working days. If you have not heard from us, please assume your place is not yet confirmed and contact us again.
  4. Step 4

    Receive joining instructions

We send final details — arrival time, room, travel and any access arrangements — about [XX] days before the event. Fee-based events are invoiced at this point, not before.

Online booking is not yet live

This website is served as a static site, so it cannot take bookings or payments directly. Rather than build a checkout that does not work, every event enquiry is handed to your own email app, pre-filled, and answered by the college office. Nothing is lost, and nothing is charged.

Booking deadlines and cancellations

  • Booking deadlines are shown on each event page and are [DATE] placeholders in this build.
  • Places on limited-capacity events are held for [XX] working days pending confirmation.
  • If you can no longer attend, please tell us so the place can be offered to someone else.
  • Cancellation and refund terms for fee-based events are set out in the terms & conditions and confirmed in your booking email.

What kind of event am I looking at?

The college runs five kinds of public event. They differ in who they are for and in what you should expect on the day.

Attending an event does not commit you to applying, and we do not use open days as a sales pitch. If a programme is not right for you, we will say so.
